"Cabang" means Branch, Zweigstelle, Branche, filial... (In Indonesian, we make it plural by doubling it, cabang-cabang!) So, here you can find our cabang-cabang and their contacts throughout the world.

The PGB Branch System

A PGB silat school branch is called a "Cabang", which means 'branch' in Bahasa Indonesia. There are three main types of Cabang:

PGB Cabang: A PGB Cabang is a mature branch at which students have received regular scheduled training from an accredited PGB Pelatih (Trainer) for at least two years. PGB Cabangs are accredited by the PGB Pusat in Bogor, or by the regional Pusat representative and Pemimpin Pelatih (Chief Trainer) as empowered to do so by the MTP (Majelis Tinggi Perguruan) at the Pusat.
PGB Cabang Magang: A PGB Cabang Magang is a probitive PGB Cabang. This means that it is a branch that is in the process of qualifying to become a full PGB Cabang. Usually such Cabang Magangs are a PGB Grup which has applied for full branch status. While Cabang Magangs are understood to be working toward full Cabang status, for various reasons they sometimes elect to remain at the probitive Magang level for extended periods. A Cabang Magang is usually defined as a sub-branch of a full PGB Cabang.
PGB Grup: A PGB Grup is the most informal of PGB organisational designations. It implies a PGB Pelatih training any number of students, at varying levels of schedule and location, or a group of PGB students who gather to train without the direct supervision of a pelatih. A PGB Grup may or may not develop into a Cabang Magang and then full Cabang. Such development depends on situation, circumstances, and desires of Pelatih and students.
