WS Rendra Wafat

WS Rendra, saudara tercinta dan murid nomor satu dalam lingkaran Warga Perguruan 41 PGB, wafat pada hari Kamis, 6 Agustus 2009 pkl. 22.05 wib di RS. Mitra Keluarga, Depok.

Jenazah dibawa ke rumah puteri Bp. Rendra, Clara Sinta (Au) untuk dimandikan dan disemayamkan di Bengkel Teater, Cipayung - Depok, dan dikebumikan disitu sesuai dengan keinginan pihak keluarga.

Atas nama Keluarga Besar PGB Bangau Putih, kami turut berduka cita sedalam-dalamnya atas meninggalnya beliau, semoga amal kebajikannya diterima oleh Tuhan Yang Maha Kuasa. Amien.

WS Rendra Passes Away

WS Rendra, beloved fellow student and student number 1 of the PGB Warga Perguruan 41 circle passed away on August 6, 2009, at 10:05pm WIB (West Indonesia Time) at the Mitra Keluarga Hospital, near his home in Depok.

His body was taken to the home of his daughter Clara Sinta to be bathed and then to repose at the Bengkel Theatre, Cipayung, Depok, where he was then buried.

The greater PGB Bangau Putih family grieves most deeply the loss of this most seminal senior student.

Rendra was in his 74th year, born on November 7, 1935 in Solo, Central Java. He became an internationally well known, domestically renowned, poet, dramatist, and social critic, and it is perhaps his calling Suhu Subur almarhum by the title he came to be known by, Suhu, master teacher of our White Crane school, PGB Bangau Putih, that helped clarify to the wider Indonesian society that Suhu Subur almarhum had something to offer of special great value to all people, and led directly to exposure of our science and art to the western world.

The PGB Bangau Putih White Crane family grieves his loss most deeply.
